Hi, I'm new here! =D

I recently got a 30GB Zune as a Valentines Day present from my boyfriend. The Zune wasn't exactly.."new", because it was out of it's original packaging, but it had barely ever been used, and his friend was giving it to him, cause he had no use for it. The Zune is in perfect condition, needless to say.

When I first installed the software, I went to zune.com to get it from there. I installed it, and it was distorted looking, and my boyfriend said, "Don't worry, it did the same thing for me when I got it. Just wait for a box to come up, and click "no"." So I did, and I selected No, for the question of "Can you see this?" It worked itself out to where I could see what was on the screen, and I went on from there to put stuff on my Zune.

Now it's several weeks later, and last night, I tried to put stuff on my Zune, but the software looks all distorted again, and I can't fix it! I've restarted the computer, I've un-instaled it, and re-installed it. Once I did that, I patiently waited for the screen to come up to ask me if I could see it, and that never happened, instead, it came back with the screen I had to begin with before I un-installed it. I've been to zune.com to get support for the problem, and nothing helped. Here is what it looks like:

Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.us

I've done everything I can to get this fixed. I even updated my computer, thinking that would help, but it didn't.

Any help is aprpeciated. The only thing I can do now with my Zune, is just charge it. =/

hi there marshmallow!

I was browsing around and noticed your problem. i dont know anything about the zune software persay but i can tell you this.

There are many different 3rd party applications that you can use to put music onto your zune. a couple of popular and fairly easy to use ones are Itunes, Winamp, and Windows Media Player. All of these programs already have options that make them compatible with portable music devices. try them out and see what happens. once again. thats Winamp , Windows Media Player , and Itunes. Good Luck!
